Nameko (Pholiota nameko) Widely cultivated in Japan. Not is widely cultivated in the US

Oyster (Pleurotus eryngii) A fairly common grey (but can be other colors, depending on variety)

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) Popular for culinary and dried purposes. Considered a step above the more common button or bella mushrooms found in stores. Considered to have some medicinal properties.

Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) “Woody” mushroom not suitable for fresh eating. Typically dried, ground and mixed as a preparation. Considered a medicinal mushroom.
